The Weakest Link

Dale secured the last strap that held the vintage Ford Model T to his trailer. He admired the beauty of this well-preserved piece of history.

“So you say your great-grandfather bought this in the twenties and passed it down to your grandfather and then to your father, huh?” Dale asked.

“Yeah, my dad loved this car. He said it helped link our generations together.” replied Chuck.

“Well, I’ll take good care of it,” Dale promised. “Here’s your check. I hope this money helps your dad with his surgery.”

“Thanks,” Chuck grinned.

He’d cash it at the bank on his way to Vegas.

  1. Dale

Younger generations so rarely respect heritage…
Funny we both called the car a Model-T (I went on-line and spent way too much time trying to find out exactly what type it was!!)

  2. Oh, that line… Nice little plot twist. Good con from a slimy person. Las Vegas is notoriously unkind to those with money though. Sorry if this one posts more then once. Windows 10 is a bad, bad OS that keeps ‘loosing’ internet connection for no reason.
